The framework powered by 400VAC line contains an AC-DC converter 500kW, twenty DC-DC power extractable from 19kW (1250A, 15V) plus four removable power supplies, DC-DC 16kW (2000A, 8V).
All power supplies are adjustable in current or voltage with adjustment range from 10-100% of the maximum output value.
Power supplY cabinet for chrome plating facility: ACDC 50kW converter and three switching 20kHz power supplies water-cooled 50-200- 400 A, 50Volt output with low ripple output, high efficiency and cos-phi adjustable voltage and current with resettable overcurrent and overtemperature protection.
AC-DC switching power supplies for sputtering applications with surge suppression. Developed in sizes from 30kW, 50kW and 120kW, with output voltages up to 900V, adjustable voltage or current. There is also the possibility to regulate the power delivered by setting a value which is then maintained by varying the voltage and current provided.
Within the project ATLAS at CERN, Power Equipments developed the system of passive protection of superconducting magnets. The need for automatic intervention of the protection system, joined to the need not to release into the environment large amounts of heat, was resolved manufacturing diode-stocks with large masses of aluminum, easily replaceable.
The project carried out in 2003 has been put into service in 2007 and is currently operating in CERN galleries.
Power Equipments participated in a EU-funded project to design and manufacure a ground power system for urban rail vehicles. The project led by French SGTE, involved leading European companies in the railway industry. The realization of the project involved the solving of technical problems with innovative solutions. Power Equipments developed a switch high voltage IGBT for switching the power outlet between the rails of the line.
The project was tested in the late '90s in Marseilles and began operation in Bordeaux in the following years.
